Venue, accommodation and things to bring

We are blessed to gather at the beautiful Heartland Retreat centre near to Wincanton/Gillingham on the Dorset-Somerset border. Heartland is just off the A303 and is a beautiful country escape, a lovely house surrounded by an idyllic green space 4acres with a natural swimming pond (perhaps not that enticing at this time of year, but you may feel brave). Accommodation is simple and provided in the rooms of the house, all rooms will be shared, bedding provided, but please bring your own towel.

As per the government guidelines in this moment, we will have a spacious environment for our time together. Hearts connected and bodies with ample distance between our nests in our practice space. Please bring all you need to create a beautiful nest for yourself (yoga mat, blankets, bolster or pillow, cushion, sheepskin etc).

In the break and meal times, when we are moving around, please respect the boundaries of each individual in the group, asking before touching someone else or their belongings and honouring people’s need for space. Please do not join the retreat if you have any Covid-19 symptoms.

Please bring comfortable clothes with lots of warm cosy layers (this is England in November), and slippers. You are also invited to bring sacred items for our collective altar, instruments and a journal for your self-reflections.

Testimonials from previous retreat participants

“Utterly delicious on every level! Sivani Mata holds such a beautiful nurturing space allowing you be nourished by the wonderful practices she teaches. The weekend was the best gift I could have given myself” – Surya Sue

“Sivani's retreat was a beautiful experience. Sivani is highly skilled at holding space and creating an environment where everyone feels safe to let go and express themselves freely, whether it is singing kirtan, practising self-honouring rituals, sharing feelings and reflections in a group or learning new practices. Her singing voice is divine, and the truth and sincerity of her commitment to the path of universal love is palpable. On a practical level, she is grounded, well-organised, professional and reliable. And she is so much fun to be with! It was both inspiring and humbling. Sivani has something really special, and her willingness to share and include others on her path of self-realisation is a thing of beauty” – Lesley

“The retreat with Sivani Mata felt like homecoming, coming back to a space of pure, unconditional and inclusive being where love is given and does not have to be deserved. Her chanting invites into surrendering and the beautiful flow of the yoga practices allows for rest, nourishment and spontaneous expression connected to all that is. It is such a gentle but determined welcoming back of deep feminine power” – Carine

“Thank you so much Sivani Mata, the weekend was blissful and I came home recharged” – Jo
